Week 4 – Image 3

I sneak into the very front pew and draw out my notebook to take notes of what I spy.  Above the altar three tall, narrow panes representing the Trinity illuminate the simple concrete altar with matching podium.  Christ as King adorned in red takes center stage.  St. Ignacio, I think, holds a very long stemmed lily and glances over at St. Francis to Christ’s left.  Pen in hand, Francis stares back with a knowing look.  I wonder why they do not look at Christ.  Why do they look at each other?  I can only assume that they feel some camaraderie since they share a passion for their faith and their calling.
